14 Dec Letter from the Headteacher
Dear Parents
We have made it to the final week of school 2021! Please continue to send your children to school until Friday when we close after lunchtime. Thank you for all your support during the term and I wish you and your family a happy and peaceful Christmas holiday. Children return to school on Thursday 6th January.
Christmas
We are making Christmas as festive as possible while avoiding large gatherings. The children enjoyed a festive Christmas lunch on Wednesday. There will be class parties and non-uniform day on Friday. This year we are asking any families who want to donate to charity, to send a packaged food item in with your child to put under one of our Christmas trees and we will take them to the local food bank.
Covid
Until half-term in October, the school had survived the pandemic with almost no cases of Covid. Since half-term we have had a dozen cases, including an outbreak of six cases in one class. Other schools are experiencing similar outbreaks. The good news is that no children have been very ill. They have either had the same symptoms as a common cold or no symptoms at all. While your child is unlikely to be very ill, they can pass Covid on to parents and grandparents who could become seriously ill.
Back to School – Thursday 6th January.
We look forward to seeing you all again in 2022!
