Pooles Park Primary School fully recognises its responsibilities for Safeguarding and Child Protection. We recognise that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
There are four main elements to how we ensure our safeguarding policies and principles support the children in our care:
We believe every child should be valued, safe and happy. We want to make sure that children we have contact with know this and are empowered to tell us if they are suffering harm.
We recognise that the Children’s Services Contact Team has lead responsibility for investigating all allegations or suspicions of abuse where there are concerns about a child.
If you are worried about the safety of any child in our school, you must report this to a member of our Safeguarding Team on 02072722655.
If you have concerns about the behaviour of an adult who works with children and young people, please contact Craig Taylor, Head of school.
Alternatively, you can contact the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) on 0207 527 8101 or complete the online referral form for allegations against staff and volunteers : https://www.islington.gov.uk/lado-referral
All safeguarding information can be found on the Islington Safeguarding Children’s Partnership website.
If you are worried about a child, contact Children’s Services Contact Team (CSCT) on 0207 527 7400. This is the single point of contact for all referrals and requests for services for vulnerable children and young people in the borough. Where there are significant immediate concerns about a child, you should contact the police on 999.
The school safeguarding contact email is safeguarding@poolespark.
