All the teachers in the school are teachers of children with Special Educational Needs. Pooles Park School adopts a whole school approach to SEND that involves all staff providing quality first teaching and robust monitoring of provision.

When planning, the expectation is that teachers plan activities that are differentiated to the needs of all children in their class. This ensures that pupils with SEND receive the necessary special educational provision.

All staff and governors in the school are aware of the importance of identifying and providing for children who have SEND and are committed to identifying and providing for the needs of all children.

Our SEN Information Report reflects the approach to and arrangements for special educational needs, as outlined in the Children and Families Act 2014.
