RE makes a unique contribution to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils and supports wider community cohesion by promoting mutual respect and tolerance in a diverse society.
We follow the Islington Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education – Exploring and understanding values and beliefs.
At Pooles Park, the key aim of RE is to inspire pupils to ask significant human questions, which religion and worldviews address, so that they can develop the understanding and skills needed to appreciate and evaluate different responses to these questions as well as developing responses of their own.
