12 Jul Letter from the Headteacher
Dear Parents
I am sorry to report that we have had to close two of our three bubbles. Year 3/4 will return to school on Monday 19th July and the Infant Bubble will return to school on Tuesday 20th July. There has been a single case of Covid in each of these bubbles. When a case is identified, the school has to phone the Department for Education (DfE) to assess the risk and then follow their advice.
Infant Bubble – Nursery/Reception, Year 1/Year 2
All the staff in this bubble are required to isolate at home. The same applies to Nursery and Reception children. Year 1 and Year 2 children had less contact. While they are off school, they do not need to isolate.
Year 3 and Year 4
All staff and children are required to isolate at home.
Year 5 and Year 6
These two year groups are in school as normal. There is no reason to be off school as they have not been in contact with a known case of Covid.
We are fortunate to have got nearly to the end of term before having to close down a bubble. Most schools have had to close bubbles on a regular basis. If your children are at home, please make sure that they complete the tasks set on Seesaw (Years 1-6) or on Tapestry (Nursery and Reception). There will be daily registration sessions on Zoom, starting on Tuesday.
The Delta variant of Covid, is very easy to catch. Please continue to follow Government guidance, and the school Covid rules. Mask-wearing in the playground will remain compulsory until the end of term on Friday 23rd July.
